These are my all time favorite Christmas cookie since I was a child. My Grandmother made them every year. They are very easy to make. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 cups flour, sifted |
1 cup finely chopped pecans |
1 pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup of shortening and 1/4 cup of margarine. Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Add Confectioniors sugar,flour and salt. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them on the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool, and roll in more confectioners' sugar. |
