this will make 1 9-inch crust... it would be used for a pie that doesn't have to be baked... banana cream pie would be nice in this crust... it is gluten free!!! I do not remember where this recipe came from Ingredients:
2 cups pecan halves |
1/4 cup packed golden brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature |
Directions:
1. In a food processor, blend pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon until nuts are finely chopped. Add butter and process until well combined. Press mixture into bottom and sides of a 9-inch (23cm) tart pan with a removable bottom. Bake for 20 minutes in a 325 degrees F (160 degrees C) oven or until golden brown. Transfer to rack and cool to room temperature. |
