If you like pecan pie, you'll love these bars! Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup margarine |
5 eggs |
1 cup dark corn syrup |
3/4 cup white sugar |
1 pinch salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). 2. Combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter and margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 3. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. 4. Combine remaining ingredients except pecans and blend well. Stir in pecans. Pour over baked crust. 5. Reduce oven temperature to 275 degrees F (140 degrees C). Bake 50 minutes or until set. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. |
