PECAN PIE BAR COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Garza Estate in Royse City, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups flour |
1 cup butter cold cut in small chunks |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
filling |
4 eggs |
1-1/2 cups light corn syrup |
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
2-1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Mix crust ingredients until crumbly using pastry blender or fingers. 2. Press firmly into rectangular ban then bake at 350 for 25 minutes. 3. Beat all filling ingredients except pecans until well blended then stir in pecans. 4. Pour over hot crust then bake 25 minutes then cool completely and cut into bars. |
