I saw this in a magazine, back in the 70's I beleive! Have never seen another recipe like it since. It is a blue ribbon recipe Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) pie crusts |
3 large eggs |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup light corn syrup |
1/2 cup dark corn syrup |
1/3 cup butter, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. Defrost frozen pie crust. 2. Combine eggs and next 5 ingredients. 3. Stir in pecans. 4. Pour into pie shell. 5. Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes (filling will appear soft). 6. Cool on a rack. 7. 1 frozen deep-dish pastry shell may be substituted. |
