Pecan Mandarin Salad

Got from our local country cookbook. Got lots of compliments at my dinner party. Wonderful with a juicy rib eye steak off the BBQ.
Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce
1 can mandarin orange
1 cup pecan halves
1 bunch spinach
1/2 cup red onion
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 -5 cloves garlic, chopped & crushed
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Mix together first 5 ingredients.
2. Make dressing- just before serving, add dressing& toss (can keep up to a week in fridge).
