For those who like a crunchy pecan. Ingredients:
30 inches wax paper |
1 cup granulated sugar |
3/4 cup dark brown sugar |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
1/2 cup water |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons cinnamon |
1 lb pecan halves |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan combine sugars, water, salt and spices. 2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 3. Boil 3-5 minutes. 4. Stir in pecans until completely coated with mixture. 5. Pour coated pecans onto waxed paper. 6. Let cool. 7. Refrigerate pecans several hours until hardened. 8. Break in pieces. |
