Pecan Cream Cheese Scones

I am addicted to light fluffy flavourful scones like this one. Can be served hot or cold. I sometimes add a maple syrup and icing sugar glaze and take them for lunch!
Ingredients:
2 c flour
1/4 c sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp cream cheese
2/3 c milk
1 egg yolk
1/2 c large pecans, chopped
1 egg
2 tbsp cold water
Directions:
1. Preheat overn to 350 degrees.
2. Lightly grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
3. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4. Cut butter and cream cheese into flour mixture until coarse and crumbly.
5. Beat milk and eggs. Pour into flour mixture.
6. Add pecans and combine well.
7. Scoop our equal sized scones on baking sheet.
8. Beat egg yolk and water. Brush glaze on the scones.
9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
10. Serve with butter, jam, cream or maple syrup.
