Cheese ball that can be made a day ahead. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1 (5 ounce) jar processed sharp cheddar cheese spread |
4 ounces aged bleu cheese crumbled |
1 small onion, finely minced |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts |
Directions:
1. Let cheeses warm to room temperature, then beat together until light and fluffy and well blended. Add orion and garlic. 2. Shape and roll into a ball, using plastic spatula. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for several hours or overnight. 3. Roll in chopped nuts until well coated. Keep in refrigerator until needed. 4. Low-fat cream cheese may be substituted 5. Serve with crackers, or with cocktail-size rye or sourdough bread. |
