Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
3 egg yolks |
1 (5.33-ounce) can evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell |
2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add flour, salt, and egg yolks; mix well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Pour filling into pastry shell; sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300°, and bake an additional 35 minutes. Cool before slicing. |
