Pecan Caramel Cream Squares |

this may be doubled and put in a 13x9 pan... Ingredients:
16 caramels, unwrapped |
24 large marshmallows |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup pecans, chopped, toasted |
1 cup whipping cream |
1 cup graham cracker crumbs |
4 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Put caramels, marshmallows, and milk in top of double boiler. 2. Place over boiling water. 3. cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is melted and smooth - about 25 minutes. 4. remove from heat and cool. 5. stir in pecans. 6. Whip cream and fold into creamed mixture. 7. combine crumbs and butter. 8. reserve 1/4 cup. 9. press remainder into bottom of 10x6 dish. 10. top with caramel mixture. 11. sprinkle with crumbs. 12. Chill several hours or overnight. 13. cut into squares. |
