These drop cookies have a nutty, buttery flavor that is absolutely delicious. Ingredients:

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup butter or margarine, room temperture |
1/4 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 egg |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.F 2. In mixing bowl, cream brown sugar and butteruntil smooth. Blend in milk, vanilla and egg. 3. Stir flour, soda and salt together. 4. Add flour mixtue to creamed mixture, blending to make a smooth dough. Add the pecans. 5. Spoon by rounded spoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. 6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden. 7. Remove immediately from cookie sheets. Cool on racks. 8. - VARIATIONS - 9. Chocolate-Pecan: 10. Add 1 cup chocolate chips to the dough along ith the pecans. 11. Coconut: 12. Add 2 cups flaked coconut the dough in place of the pecans. |
