Scrumptious pecan brown butter cookies. So buttery and nutty. Gourmet Ingredients:
1-1/2 sticks unsalted butter |
1/2 c packed lt. brown sugar |
1/2 c sugar |
1 c flour1/2 tsp baking soda |
3/4 tsp salt |
2 large eggs |
2 c pecans (7oz.) toasted,cooled and chopped |
1 c flour |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees with racks in upper and lower thirds. 2. Heat butter in a 10 heavy skillet over medium heat til milk solids on bottom are a dark chocolate brown. 3. Transfer to a shallow bowl and chill in freezer until just congealed,about 15 mins. 4. Blend brown butter with sugars,flour,baking soda,salt and eggs in a food processor till smooth. Transfer to a bowl and stir in pecans. 5. Spoon ablespoons of batter onto parchment-lined baking sheets,arranging about 1 apart. 6. Bake,switching positions of sheets halfway through,till browned,15 to 18 mins. Transfer cookies to a rack to cool (cookies will crisp as they cool. |
