1. Ingredients 2. slices Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces 3. cup Shelled Diamond Walnuts 4. cup chopped onion 5. -oz. pkg. Frozen peas 6. ⅛ teaspoon thyme 7. Salt and pepper 8. Directions 9. Fry bacon until very crisp; remove from pan. 10. Drain off all but 2 tablespoon bacon fat. 11. Sauté walnuts in fat for 1 minute; remove from pan. 12. Sauté onion until transparent. 13. Add peas, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. 14. Cover; cook about 10 minutes or just until peas are tender, stirring occasionally. 15. Add bacon and walnuts; toss lightly and serve. |
