Peas and Ham with Creamy Orzo

Ingredients:
1 cup(s) dry orzo pasta
1/2 cup(s) onion diced
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 clove(s) garlic minced
1/4 cup(s) dry white wine
1/2 cup(s) heavy cream
1/3 cup(s) low-sodium chicken broth
1 cup(s) fresh peas
1 cup(s) ham steak diced
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup(s) parmesan cheese grated
salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Cook orzo according to package directions; drain and set aside.
2. Saute onion in oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat until softened, about 5 min. Add garlic; cook 1 minute.
3. Stir in wine, cream, broth, peas, and ham; simmer over medium-low heat until peas are tender, 4-5 minutes. Stir in cooked orzo.
4. Off heat stir in egg yolk and Parmesan until thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper.
