Peas And Carrots With Honey, Bacon, And Shallots |

This is a simple dish and a great way to flavor your veggies. Ingredients:
2 shallot, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon honey |
3 strips of bacon |
2 (10 oz.) bags of frozen peas and carrots |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Cook peas and carrots according to package directions. (Boil salted water in sauce pan and add veggies.Reduce heat to med-low. cover for 8 min.,Drain) 2. While the peas and carrots are cooking, slice up the bacon into small pieces. Heat skillet on med. and add bacon pieces. As bacon starts to brown add in the 1 T of butter and shallots. 3. Drain peas and carrots and add to skillet. Add honey and additional Tablespoon of butter. Toss to coat and serve. |
