Pears in Chocolate Cinnamon Syrup |

A delicously different poached pears dessert. Serve with vanilla ice-cream. Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa powder |
2 tablespoons syrup |
2 cinnamon sticks |
4 pears, peeled and cored |
Directions:
1. Stir water, sugar, cocoa, syrup and cinnamon sticks in large saucepan over heat until sugar dissolves. 2. Bring to boil. 3. Add pears and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes. 4. Remove pears. 5. Boil syrup until reduced. 6. Serve pears with syrup and ice-cream. |
