This recipe comes from Arkansas, where pecans are grown locally. Pears add soft, mellow flavor. Try this haroset with fish. Ingredients:
2 cups shredded peeled golden delicious apple (about 1 pound) |
1 cup shredded peeled bartlett pear (about 3/4 pound) |
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon honey |
1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Fold in chopped pecans. Refrigerate 2 hours in an airtight container. |
