Pear, Hazelnut, Cheese and Honey on Black Bread

One of the most attractive, unique hors d'oeuvres I've come across-great for holiday season parties.
Ingredients:
5 slices good black bread
1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese
1 large ripe pear
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
Directions:
1. Quarter each slice of bread and arrange on a platter.
2. Cut cheddar into 20 slices place on bread.
3. Cut pear into 20 thin slices.
4. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with hazelnuts.
5. Serve with wine (best with dry reds).
