This recipe is a lighter version of chia's Pear Cardamom Bread. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup splenda granular |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1 1/2 cups chopped pears, ripe, unpeeled, cored |
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce |
1/4 cup milk |
1 egg |
1 egg white |
1/3 cup pecans, finely chopped |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon cardamom |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees; spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. 2. Mix all bread ingredients in a large bowl. 3. Pour into prepared pan; mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. 4. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted off center comes out clean. 5. Allow to cool 10 minutes, remove from pan and allow to cool completely for 1 hour. 6. Enjoy! |
