A lovely chocolate cake, made with the proverbial cake mix, this is for the cook in a hurry, or for those that want their kids to cook with them - such fun with the kids or grandchildren - Ingredients:
1 (18 1/2 ounce) package devil's food cake mix (2-layer size) |
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine |
1/4 cup peanut butter |
2/3 cup brown sugar |
1 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. Prepare cake mix (according to directions) and bake in greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking dish. 2. Cream together butter/margarine, peanut butter and brown sugar. Stir in nuts. Spread mixture over warm cake. Broil 5-6 inches form top burner for 5 minutes or till frosting is bubbly. Serve warm. |
