The cooking time includes 4 hours refrigeration time. This makes approximately 2 1/2 - 3 pounds after being cut into 1 inch squares. Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons plus 1/2 cup butter, softened and divided |
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 cup butterscotch chips |
1 cup smooth peanut butter |
1 cup dry roasted peanuts |
1/4 cup milk |
2 tablespoons vanilla pudding mix |
3 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar |
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring |
Directions:
1. Line a 13x9 inch pan with foil and grease the foil with 1 1/2 teaspoon butter, and set aside.In a microwave safe bowl, combine the chips, and peanut butter, microwave uncovered on high for 1-2 minutes or until melted. 2. Stir until smooth. 3. Spread 1/2 of this mixture into a prepared pan, refrigerate until cool. 4. Stir peanuts into remaining chocolate mixture, and set aside. 5. In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk, pudding mix, and the remaining butter. Microwave uncovered on high for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring once. 6. Gradually stir in the confectioners sugar, and maple frosting. 7. Spread this over the chocolate layer. 8. Carefully spread with the reserved peanut mixture (may need to reheat) to spread easily. 9. Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until firm. 10. Using foil, lift candy carefully out of pan, discard foil, and cut into 1 inch squares. 11. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. 12. Remove from refrigerator just before serving. |
