The only thing that beats a freshly baked apple pie is one topped with this peanut butter crumb topping. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup smucker's® creamy natural peanut butter |
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar |
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 (30 ounce) can apple pie filling |
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Blend flour, peanut butter, brown sugar, butter and salt until mixture is crumbly. Spoon apple pie filling into unbaked crust; sprinkle peanut butter mixture over pie filling. 2. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is hot and pastry is browned. |
