YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Ingredients:

2 c. flour |
2 c. sugar |
1/2 t. salt |
1 t. soda |
2 sticks margarine |
1 c. water |
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 t.. vanilla |
1/2 c. buttermilk ( or 1/2 c. milk + 1t. vinegar) |
chopped peanuts (optional) |
peanut butter icing |
1 stick margarine |
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter |
1/3 c. + 1 t. milk |
1 lb. powdered sugar |
1 t.. vanilla |
Directions:
1. CAKE: 2. Sift first four ingredients together and set aside. 3. Bring margarine, water and peanut butter to a boil and add to flour mixture. 4. In another bowl, combine eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. 5. Add to peanutbutter batter. 6. Pour into a greased 10x15 pan and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes. 7. Ice cake while still warm and sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired. 8. FROSTING: 9. Bring margarine, peanut butter and milk to a boil, remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. |
