Ingredients:
1 cake compressed yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy)
2 eggs, well beaten
3 1/4 - 4 cups flour
1/4 cup melted shortening
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbs salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Directions:
1. Soften yeast in water. Add milk, sugar, salt, shortening, eggs, nutmeg and peanut butter. Beat well. Add flour to make a dough barely stiff enough to be kneaded. Knead until smooth on lightly floured board. Cover and let rise until double in bulk; work down. Form into rolls. Place on well-oiled baking sheet. Cover and let rise until treble (triple) in bulk. Bake in hot oven (450) about 15 minutes.
