This is the second recipe that I have entered that does not say how much peanut butter. I guess you will have to be the judge if you like a little or a lot peanut butter. Ingredients:
(cooked) |
mix in heavy sauce pan |
2 c. white sugar |
1/2 c. light corn syrup |
1/2 c. warm water |
1/8 tsp. salt |
10 x sugar |
Directions:
1. Cook stirring until sugar dissolves, then cook over low heat without stirring to hard ball stage (265) or test by dropping a few drops in cup of cold water. 2. Meanwhile, put into large bowl 2 egg whites, 1/8 teaspoon salt. 3. Beat until stiff, about 2 minutes, slowly pour hot syrup over egg whites, while beating at high speed. 4. Continue beating until mixture will hold its shape. 5. Pour 10 x sugar on cabinet top-pour mixture on sugar. 6. Add more 10 x sugar on top of mixture, just enough to roll mixture out, spreading peanut butter. 7. Roll up and cut in pieces. 8. =================================================== 9. Note: 10 x sugar (confectionery sugar) |
