A new take on an old classic! I am always searching for new ways to take the 'J' out of the classic PB & J to reduce my daughter's sugar intake. Here's one very yummy way to do it! Ingredients:
1 whole wheat pita bread |
1 granny smith apple, thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons peanut butter |
Directions:
1. Be sure pita is room temp or warm enough to open easily. Cut pita in half and open from the cut edge, making a pocket. 2. Spread peanut butter on entire inside of pita and place apple slices inside. 3. Close pita and enjoy! |
