This is from my Mom's recipe cards. I have not tried this. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
3/4 cup milk |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 tablespoons peanut butter |
0.5 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and milk. 2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 3. Continue boiling without stirring to 235 degrees by a candy thermometer. 4. Add butter and vanilla. 5. Cool to lukewarm 110 degrees. 6. Add peanut butter. 7. Beat until mixture begins to thicken and loses it's gloss. 8. At once stir in chocolate chips. 9. Turn into greased 8 x 4 inch pan. 10. Cut into squares. |
