I'm not sure where this recipe came from. It is a great treat to take to work and share the calories with your co-workers. Ingredients:
3 cups sugar |
3/4 cup butter |
2/3 cup evaporated milk |
1 cup peanut butter (recipe calls for jiffy) |
7 ounces marshmallow creme |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup nuts, chopped (variety is your choice) |
Directions:
1. In 2 1/2 quart saucepan combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk. 2. Bring to a full boil over medium heat stirring constantly to prevent scorching. 3. Continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes. 4. Remove from heat, add peanut butter and marshmallow creme stirring until melted. 5. Add vanilla and nuts. 6. Beat until well blended. 7. Spread into buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. 8. Cool to room temperature then refrigerate until firm. 9. Cut into squares. |
