Peanut Butter French Toast |

Very tasty french toast recipe that I purchased from the Hoffman Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1988. This one is tried and true and we all love it. Hope you do too. Ingredients:
3 eggs slightly beaten |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
3/4 cup milk |
1 tablespoon peanut butter |
6 day old bread slices |
butter |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs with salt, sugar, milk and peanut butter until mixture is smooth and well blended. 2. Dip slices of bread in mixture coating bread on both sides. 3. Grease heavy skillet generously with butter and place over high heat until butter sizzles. 4. Brown bread in hot skillet turning once to brown both sides. 5. Serve warm with syrup or honey. |
