A family favorite, thin and crunchy. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
1 large egg |
1 1/4 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Mix butter, peanut butter, sugars and egg thoroughly. 2. Measure flour by sifting. 3. Blend all dry ingredients; stir into butter mixture. 4. Chill dough. 5. Heat oven to 375°. 6. Roll dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. 7. Place 3 apart on lightly greased baking sheet. 8. Flatten criss-cross style with fork dipped in flour. 9. Bake 8-12 minutes. |
