This recipe is from Better Homes and Garden Cookbook. These are easy to make and taste good. I don't sift just mix in a bowl. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter of margarine |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 teasoon vanilla |
1 1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour |
3/4 teaspoon soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
oven 375 degrees f. |
Directions:
1. Throughly cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. 2. Sift together dry ingriedients; blend into creamed mixture. 3. Shape in 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. 4. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 5. Press 5 peanut halves atop each or crisscross with fork tines. 6. Bake at 375 degress F. for 10 to 12 minutes. 7. Cool slightly; remove from pan. Makes 4 dozen. |
