This is a easy snack. If you use the clear corn syrup this recipe is okay for any child that is on a diet where they cannot have any food coloring, dyes, or such. My ex SIL's son was on a diet for A.D.D. This was one of his favorite treats he could have. Ingredients:
5 cups rice krispies |
3/4 cup sugar |
3/4 cup corn syrup |
3/4 cup peanut butter |
Directions:
1. Pour cereal into large bowl. 2. In saucepan combine sugar& corn syrup. 3. Stir. 4. occasionally, bring to a boil over medium heat. 5. and boil 1 minute. 6. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter until smooth. 7. Pour over cereal, stir to coat well. 8. Press evenly into 9 inch square pan coated. 9. with shortening or cooking spray. 10. Cool completely. 11. Invert pan on cutting board. 12. and cut into bars. |
