Peanut Butter Carrot Bread

For the ingredient of the month: peanut butter.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil or 1/4 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups finely shredded carrots
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup raisins or 1/2 cup sultana
Directions:
1. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and allspice.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and eggs.
3. Mix in the carrots.
4. Stir the first mixture into the second mixture, alternately adding milk.
5. Pour into a greased 9X5X3 loaf pan.
6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
