Peanut Butter Caramel Bars

Great dessert for chocolate and peanut butter lovers...like me
Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, softened
1 egg
20 mini peanut butter cups
2 tbls. cornstarch
1-12 oz. jar caramel ice cream topping
1/4 cup peanut butter
topping
1 can milk chocolate frosting
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. In mixing bowl, add cake mix, butter and egg and beat until combined
3. Stir in peanut butter cups
4. Press into greased 13x9 baking pan
5. Bake 18-20 minutes or until light brown
6. In saucepan, add cornstarch, caramel topping and peanut butter
7. Heat to boil over low heat, stirring occasionally (About 20 minutes)
8. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly
9. Remove from heat and stir in peanuts
10. Spread evenly over crust
11. Bake 6-7 minutes longer
12. Cool completely
13. Spread with frosting and top with chopped peanuts
