This fiber-filled breakfast treat is slightly chewy, yet it's creamy because of the milk. If you like softer oats, cook them up to 1 minute longer before adding the sugar and peanut butter. Serve alongside scrambled eggs and mixed fresh fruit for a hearty breakfast. Ingredients:
1/2 cup regular oats |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup fat-free milk |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/3 cup chopped banana |
1 1/2 tablespoons light brown sugar |
1 tablespoon chunky natural-style peanut butter |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a 3-cup microwave-safe bowl; stir well. Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes. 2. Add sugar and peanut butter to oats mixture. Stir until thick and creamy. Serve immediately. |
