Another recipe adapted from a cookbook set I received in the Cookbook Swap 2008 from Midwest Maven. Again, cook time is actually chilling time. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed |
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter |
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip |
1 angel food cake, cut into cubes |
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans (optional) |
Directions:
1. Whisk thawed whipped topping and peanut butter in a large bowl until thouroughly blended. Stir in mini chips. 2. In a trifle bowl, arrange half of the cubed angelfood cake, then top evenly with half of the peanut butter mixture and 1/4 cup of the nuts (if using). Repeat layers one more time. 3. Chill for at least 30 minutes, or overnight, before serving. 4. Refrigerate leftovers. |
