My mother's recipe. Doubling or tripling the recipe will ensure you have lots to share! Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup hot water |
1 cup light corn syrup |
1 lb shelled roasted peanuts |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Sauce pan: on low heat cook water, sugar and syrup until spins threads when spoon is lifted. 2. Add peanuts, cook until brown, add baking soda. 3. Pour into greased cookie sheet let harden at room temperature. |
