I got this recipe from Borzynski's Farmers Market in Sturtevant, WI... Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
2 eggs |
2 1/3 cups peaches, pureed |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup pecans, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well. 3. Stir in peach puree and dry ingredients; add vanilla and pecans and mix well. 4. Pour dough into 2 (9x5) well greased and floured loaf pans. 5. Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour. 6. Let cool 5-10 minutes before removing from pan. |
