I found this in War Cry leaflet. I have not tried this recipe. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons water |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1/4 cup malt vinegar |
1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
2 1/2 lbs chicken pieces |
16 ounces canned peaches |
Directions:
1. Drain peaches, reserving liquid. In large skillet, brown chicken in vegetable oil. 2. Combine reserved peach liquid, orange juice concentrate, vinegar, sugar, basil, salt, ground cloves, cinnamon, pepper. Pour over chicken, cover, simmer 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked. 3. Add peaches and heat. Combine cornstarch and water and stir into sauce. Heat, stirring, until sauce thickens. Serve with rice. |
