PEACH TOPPED OLD FASHIONED GERMAN CHEESECAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cullen Estate in Allen, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs |
1 tablespoon granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons butter melted |
1 small carton small curd cottage cheese |
16 ounces cream cheese softened |
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar |
4 eggs slightly beaten |
1/2 cup all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup margarine melted |
1 pint sour cream |
1 can peach pie filling |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients for crust and spread on bottom of a spring form cake pan. 2. Beat cottage cheese and cream cheese until creamy then blend in sugar and eggs. 3. Add flour and vanilla then add melted margarine and sour cream. 4. Pour mixture over crust and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325. 5. Turn off oven and let stand in oven for 2 hours then remove. 6. Cover with pie filling then chill several hours before serving. |
