Peach Smoothie With Ginger Zing |

Adapted from Rocco DiSpirito's Now Eat This! Diet Cookbook . The ginger really needs to be fresh, not ground and dried, for the proper zing. If desired, you can add 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric for additional health benefits. Ingredients:
1 cup crushed ice |
2 cups unsweetened frozen peaches |
1 1/2 cups water |
26 g vanilla whey protein powder (like designer whey, 1 scoop) |
1 packet sugar-free lemonade powdered drink mix (quart) |
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. 2. Makes 2 very large peach smoothies. |
