Peach Smoothie With Cardamom for 1 |

I had a few peaches to use up and pulled this together quickly earlier in the week for breakfast. The amounts given are a rough estimate simply because I don't measure. Other pitted fruit will work: nectarines, for example. If you don't have kefir on hand, you can substitute satisfactorily with plain yogurt including some of the whey. Ingredients:
1 fresh peach, washed and pitted (chopped or sliced and i skipped peeling) |
1/2 cup kefir (i used plain) |
2 drops pure almond extract |
1 small pinch ground cardamom |
1/2 teaspoon honey (sugar is optional) |
filtered water (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. If you like your smoothie sweeter, add a little bit of sugar of your choice. 2. And if you like your smoothie less thick, add filtered water about 1/4 cup at a time, blending to desired consistency. |
