Peach Pork Chop Bake

A little twist.
Ingredients:
1 box stuffing mix
1/2 c. peach preserves,divided
4 porkchops (1/2 inch thick)
2 tbs. veg. oil
1-8 oz. can sliced peaches, drained
Directions:
1. Make stuffing mix according to directions, decreasing water by 1/4 cup, stir in 1/4 cup jam instead.
2. Spoon stuffing into ungreased one-quart casserole.
3. Preheat oven to 350° F.
4. Cook porkchops in oil in medium skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides.
5. Arrange porkchops and peaches over stuffing.
6. Spoon 1/4 cup jam over chops.
7. Bake, covered, until porkchops are tender, 45 minutes to one hour.
