I got this recipe from Borzynski's Farmers Market in Sturtevant, WI... Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup buttermilk |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 tablespoon orange peel, grated |
1 1/2 cups peaches, mashed and sprinkled with lemon juice |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 3. In a separate bowl, combine egg, buttermilk, butter, orange peel, peaches, and brown sugar. 4. Add peach mixture to dry ingredients and stir just until moistened; stir in nuts. 5. Spoon mixture into 2 (8x4) loaf pans that have been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. 6. Bake for 50-60 minutes. |
