this cake does not need to have a filling because its baked with it Ingredients:
sponge:250g butter,softened |
2 cups castor sugar |
5 eggs |
2 1/2 cup self raising flour |
1/2 cup milk |
filling:1 tin can peaches |
peach jam |
icing sugar for dusting or make syrup tp our over cake |
Directions:
1. cream butter and sugar 2. add eggs 3. sift flour 4. add milk to make batter 5. pour half batter into a greased round tin 6. put peach slices and brush with jam 7. pour rest of batter 8. bake at 180 degrees til golden 9. remove,cool,dust with icing sugar or pour syrup(dnt pour alot as this is a sponge cake and will absorb alot) |
