Fresh peach pie with a custard topping bakes up golden brown. It's a perfect ending to a summertime meal. Enjoy!! Ingredients:
1 pie crust (9-inch) |
1 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 tps. ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
4 cups peeled and sliced peaches |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F Prepare pie crust as direct on package for one-crust pie, using 9-inch pie plate; flute edge. 2. Mix sugar, flour, eggs, butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl. Place peaches in pastry-lined pie plate. Pour custard mixture over peaches. 3. Bake 1 hour or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool on wire rack. 4. After 15-20 minutes of baking, cover edge of crust with strips of foil to prevent excessive browning. |
