PEACH CRUMB PUDDING DATED 1954 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Butler Estate in Greenville, Texas in 1987. I made this for my nephew who loves peaches. Read more . It is good, but in my opinion not great. I probably won’t make it again although my nephew has made it several times since I made it for him and he loves it. Ingredients:
18 fresh peaches |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1-1/4 cup sifted all purpose flour |
1/2 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Reserve 1 peach for garnishing then peel peaches and cut into quarters. 2. Drop into mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons flour. 3. Turn into baking dish then mix remaining sugar and flour. 4. Cut in butter to crumb consistency then sprinkle crumbs over peaches. 5. Bake at 375 for 1 hour. |
