I love the flavor of toasted oats...and combined with juicy peaches and cinnamon in a warm crisp, it's the ultimate comfort food. I have also made this recipe using half peaches and half apples...just as delicious! Ingredients:
6 cups peaches, peeled and sliced (or canned peaches can be used) |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/4 cup liquid honey |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup rolled oats |
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 cup soft butter |
Directions:
1. Place peaches in a 9 inch square pan. 2. Sprinkle with lemon juice and then drizzle with honey. 3. In medium bowl, mix together remaining ingredients using a pastry blender or fork. 4. Sprinkle mixture evenly over peaches. 5. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until top is golden brown. |
