This is a yummy cobbler that is a favorite with our family of eight. You may use up to 5 cups of peaches. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, melted |
4 cups fresh peaches - peeled, pitted and sliced |
2 tablespoons white sugar |
1 cup white sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour butter in to the bottom of a large casserole or 9 x 13 inch pan. 2. In the prepared dish, toss together the peaches and 2 tablespoons sugar. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the 1 cup sugar, salt, baking powder, flour, cinnamon, and milk. Spoon batter over the peaches. 4. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until top is golden brown. |
